Wax Melt Safety How to Use your Wax Melt Gift

WARNING: To prevent fire or injury, remove packaging, floral wire, and adhesives before use. Use only in tea-light warmers or UL-listed electric warmers approved for wax melts. Read and follow all instructions provided with your warmer before use. Do NOT leave the melter unattended while in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do NOT add water. Do NOT melt on the stove top or in non-approved appliances. Use only in well-ventilated areas away from flammable materials.

How to Use your Wax Melt Gift

  1. Prep your space: Place your electric warmer on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface away from drafts, curtains, or anything flammable.
  2. Add the wax: Remove floral stems or adhesive stickers as needed. To remove floral stems, carefully hold the flower and pull the stem out. Place the flower into the dish at the top. Break larger flowers into pieces if needed. Do not add water or oil to the wax.
  3. Melt the wax: Plug in the warmer and switch it on (or turn the dial if your model has temperature controls). The heating plate or internal bulb will melt the wax and release the fragrance.
  4. Turn it off when done: Most warmers do not have auto-shutoff features. Do not leave the unit unattended, and avoid running it for more than 4 hours at a time.

How to Clean and Change the Wax

  1. The wax itself does not evaporate; only the fragrance oils do. Once you can no longer smell the scent, it’s time to change the wax.
  2. While the wax is still warm and melted, drop 2 or 3 cotton balls into the dish. They will absorb the liquid wax. Safely discard the cotton and wipe the dish clean with a paper towel.
